Today's main event was to get Nietzsche (our cat) to the vet for schedule shots .. but for the first time using our new cat carrier (cage) .. before we transported the cats in either a hamper or a box .. but we bought a noce plastic cage ..and getting any of our 2 cats in there is sure an adventure ..

so .. getting him in left certain bloody marks on my hand .. but he behaved very well at the vet's office .. and too our surprise .. he went back into the cage on his own .. like this was his safe haven .. very cute .. he got his shots and everything seems fine ...

Just got back from a nice BBQ get together at Rob's place up on princess road .. due to lack of certain tools, Jon used a cane knife to flip the burgers :)

can't believe that the weather is still that good ... very different from what it is supposed to be ... I fear they may soon report another draught warning ... since we got back... 2 weeks ago .. we have not witnessed any major rainfall .. some drizzle .. but other than than ... blue skies and sunshine when we wake up .. right now it is 31C 88F at 68% humidity .. not bad at all ..

Things are still quite as many people are still on holiday leave or are returning just now ... Oh .. and I saw that McDonald's here now does a "Quarter Pounder" Special .. this item is usually not on the list.

It is amazing how sunny the weather is these days. Comparing to last year, where we sat in constant rain and wind thanks to certain cyclones, this morning another blue sky greeted us. It is warmer than winter (around 28C) but humidity is with 70-75% much less than this time last year. Well, we keep enjoying it.

My tummy is better, though I do not eat much and the thought of greasy food still gives me a slight nausea, but I managed to cook Ritsu's favorite Pasta Dish last night, so it must get better.

We also finished watching "Lost in Translation" which is an indescribably beautiful movie. So, I will not even go into detail... there are many good reviews out there and there... but I recommend this movie highly.

I must have eaten something I should not have. And i hope it was nothing at Friday's Shinnenkai. But later yesterday I started feeling a bit woozy and then when we planned to go for pizza, the thought of greasy ham and cheese made my face color change from red to pale-white within 25 minutes ... and gladly we did not go, as I had to throw up a bit later ... something that had not happened in a long time.

I am feeling much better already and I wonder if it was either some of those overly sweet japanese things were (maybe only good for japanese tummies) or if this was the revenge for having eaten so many of the offered tempura shrimp.

For sunset we once again went to the holiday inn where they seem to do some major renovation. Good time of year for this. All my tummy would accept was a ginger ale. But it is getting better.

Cats are fine, though Nietzsche keeps being the trouble maker: Now that we keep him inside at night (since he only comes back with battle scars if we leave him out) he goes after Misha, to either be close or to show his dominance, not sure ... so, they do some fighting and that in the middle of the night is not that fun ... I will also try to record his quite annoying meow sometime :)
